This is a special offering of "Colder Waters" printed in large-scale (24" x 36") and framed with a Canadian-made black wood floater frame. This piece is part of Becca's 2022 solo show at the On the Avenue Artisan Gallery in Prince Albert, SK (Aug. 3rd - 31st).

Colder Waters features a Lake Trout, inspired by the Lake Trout of Wollaston Lake, Saskatchewan. Lake Trout are a long-lived, but slow growing species that inhabit the deepest and coldest waters of northern lakes. They exhibit a wide arrange of colouration and spotting patterns, with this specific fish being a dusky olive colour with dense spotting and vermiculation. The artist was inspired to illustrate a Lake Trout after several trips to Wollaston Lake, and conducting population surveys at various lakes in the province.
