This is a special offering of "Weyakwin" printed in large-scale (24" x 36") and framed with a Canadian-made black wood floater frame. This piece is part of Becca's 2022 solo show at the On the Avenue Artisan Gallery in Prince Albert, SK (Aug. 3rd - 31st).
Details:
Weyakwin is inspired by the stunning golden Walleye (Sander vitreus) of Weyakwin Lake, Saskatchewan. The atmosphere of this painting is further inspired by the Weyakwin Forest Fire of 2015. A vibrant golden Walleye is presented on a smokey grey background that can't help but bring the smell of forest fire smoke to your senses. This piece is an excellent choice for fishermen who spend their mornings and evenings searching for this infamous species, which tend to reveal themselves on the gloomiest of days. Originally digitally painted, and then Giclee printed on to canvas and framed with a Canadian-made black wooden floater frame. Weyakwin prints are part of a limited edition (100 total), with the print at this show being number 11. |
